Event idea- Scoutnapping
We did a "scoutnapping" lock-in one time. Our girls were all Juniors at the time.
Leaders all left our homes 'to attend a leader overnight' (without our daughters but with their stuff already in the car). We met at the location where we were having the lock-in and unloaded and set up. We distributed our lists of girls and maps of for the girls we were picking up.
Parents knew everything and had already packed what she needed without her knowing (including leaders daughters) and made her put on her jammies early.
Leaders arrived at the girls doors 8-8:30pm to pick up. They were shocked when they opened the door and one of their leaders was standing there to scoutnap her. Leaders daughters were picked up by a different leader so she also got the full experience.
We each picked up about 3-4 girls and then headed back to the lock-in location. We had treats, games, popcorn and a movie.
At ours we also did the "Spread the Bread" project and baked a bunch of loaves of flavor breads. The next morning we got up and ate some of our banana and other flavor breads for breakfast. We then cleaned up and headed off to deliver fresh bread to the fire dept (across the street) and Ronald McDonald house.
